Các quy định và yêu cầu về ghi nhãn ở EU
EU đã đặt ra nhiều quy định liên quan đến việc dán nhãn các sản phẩm dệt may được bán trong các quốc gia thành viên. Các nhãn hàng dệt này phải được cung cấp bằng ngôn ngữ mẹ đẻ của quốc gia thành viên nơi hàng may mặc được bán và chúng cũng phải bao gồm các thông tin sau:

Các nhà sản xuất dệt may muốn kinh doanh ở Úc phải tuân theo các nguyên tắc ghi nhãn sau:
1. Hàm lượng chất xơ
Úc không còn bắt buộc dán nhãn hàm lượng chất xơ. Loại nhãn này được yêu cầu cho đến năm 2010, nhưng nó đã hết hiệu lực vào năm 2011 khi Luật Người tiêu dùng Úc được thông qua.
